Are You Consuming
Food or Supplements
That Are Harmful To Your Body?
Learn
How To Determine Which Ones Are Safe And
Which Ones Can Help You Improve Your Health And Vitality!
How do you determine
which food or health supplement will benefit your body the most? If you
are like most people, your decision is based on reading the product
label or other sales literature, or the trust you have in the company
producing the product. Unfortunately, it seems that many of the
products available in the grocery stores, mail-order nutrition
companies, and even health food stores are not as nutritious as we’ve
been told.
But what if there was a way to know for sure if a particular food or
health product would help your body? Your body is a marvelous creation
and your brain knows if a particular food or supplement is good for
your body. But you have to know the technique for determining this.
Don Smyth, President of
R-Garden, Inc., is an expert at a highly accurate Biokinesiology
testing procedure called the “Brain Response Test” or BRT. Don has been
utilizing this method of testing foods and supplements for over 25
years. In fact, all of the nutritional products sold by R-Garden have
been developed and tested using the BRT method.
Karen Brunner has been
personally trained by Don and holds the title of "Biokinesiology
Practitioner." She also holds classes to teach others how to do BRT.
The accuracy and
importance of this testing method have been demonstrated again and
again over the years in the lives of many people. With this method, we
can divide all nutritional substances into one of three groups:
biogenic, biocidic, or biostatic. Biogenic substances are those which
enhance your health, build you up, and take you to the next higher
level toward optimal health. Biocidic substances are those which are
detrimental to good health and should not be consumed. Biostatic
substances are neutral. They are safe to consume, but do not
necessarily provide a solution to improving your health. Even though
foods can look and taste good, they can still test bad and be dangerous
to consume.
Now You Can Learn
This Powerful Technique
It is a simple and highly
accurate test of any and all nutrition going into your body through
your mouth, skin, ears, and eyes. By careful analysis when testing one
specific muscle-nerve grouping, you can determine whether what you are
eating will make you healthy or sick. Your brain knows if the food, the
supplement, the powder, or the liquid is good for you as an individual.
You can use the B.R.T. in
your everyday life to determine which foods are best for you, which
foods will harm you, and which foods will actually strengthen your
physical body.
How can you use the
B.R.T. to do all of this? Follow directions carefully – and listen to
what your body is telling you!
Basic Guidelines
a) Think calm thoughts and be neutral towards what you are testing.
b) Avoid noises. Music or distracting people can influence testing.
c) Absolutely no food or gum in the mouth (unless you are testing that
food).
d) Always take into consideration any structural weakness or injury.
e) If your friend is too weak, too old, too young, or for any other
reason cannot use their arm effectively, use a surrogate.
Testing
Procedures for
The Brain Response Test
The procedures are given
for testing your friend’s left arm. The right arm may also be tested.
Both you and your friend
stand with your feet firmly placed about one foot apart. Face each
other’s left shoulder, not squarely at each other.
Your left palm is placed
firmly on your friend’s right shoulder in order to stabilize it and
provide a good circuit. His right arm is at present hanging free. Your
friend’s left wrist will be fully flexed whenever testing.
Your friend’s left arm is
carefully aligned. First raise it straight out to the side, palm down.
Place your right palm on the top center of your friend’s left wrist.
Keep your friend’s flexed wrist cupped in your palm. Next place your
finger on the ramus of the jaw (the notch on the side of the jaw bone)
of your friend. Keep the arm straight, then test. This is the “Brain
Response Test Position” (BRT).
Press gently on your
friend’s wrist while he resists. You are not trying to overpower each
other, or to pull muscles. Be gentle. Practice testing, resisting
several times until you work as a team.
Resist with exactly the
same effort each time. Do not vary your resistance or your pressure!
When you test – say,
“Resist” and press down firmly, gently, and smoothly for one second,
with just enough pressure to move the arm at least 6 inches. You will
note that his arm will instantly respond and “lock” in position (if he
is in a reasonably healthy condition). With most people this pressure
will be from ten to twenty pounds. This is an art – use sensitive
perception! Test many times. Do not hold the arm in this position too
long because your friend will tire easily. If his arm is very weak in
this position, massage for thirty seconds, one inch under his navel,
and both of you roll your heads around in a large circle – three times
clockwise and three times counter-clockwise, slowly. If his arm is
still weak, check for foods, colors, or clothing that is harmful, or
after-shave lotion, deodorants, etc. A vigorous rolling of the
shoulders is also advantageous sometimes. If nothing else works, try
spinning around in a clockwise direction three or four times.
You are ready to proceed
to test foods and/or supplements. Place the foods and food supplements
very near so that you do not need to change positions in order to reach
the item to be tested.
Your friend will now
place the food or food supplement in any of three locations:
1. In the mouth (if this
is chosen, then carefully wash out the mouth with clean, nondistilled,
nonchlorinated water in between each test).
2. On the cheek near the upper wisdom teeth (the location of the
parotid gland.)
3. On the navel.
Each of these locations
has a high degree of sensitivity to all types of nutrition. This is not
true of any other point on the body, according to our years of research.
You can now proceed with
the BRT. Touch (and hold) the ramus of the jaw of your friend. Keep the
arm straight, then test. This is the “Brain Response Test Position”
(BRT).
1. Test first to see if
the food strengthens the BRT.
2. Then test to see if it is neutral (by first strengthening the BRT by
running the hand down the side of the cheek), then test to see if it
weakens. If this test is strong, then the item is “neutral” or OK to
consume.
3. If it weakens, the brain is responding that this item is harmful. It
is causing an imbalance in the body.
If you have many products
or foods that strengthen you, you may calibrate by asking the question
“On a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 being not very important at all and 10
being extremely important, this product calibrates at 1 or better? 2 or
better?” until you get a negative. Do this for each product and you
will know which products are the most important to be taking.
You may want to test for
quantities. Say, “Do I need 1 or more of these per day? Two or more?
Three or more?” until you get a negative. The previous answer is what
you need. You can also test for times per day—”Once? Twice? Three
Times?”
It is very important to
recheck whenever in doubt. Practice! Practice! Practice! You will
notice that most food supplements will fail when using the BRT Test.
This is why so many people do not feel better even though taking
vitamins and herbs. There is a difference in quality! Test to be sure!
Your health and usefulness can be at stake.
Points to Remember
1. Always test with the same pressure.
2. Always resist with exactly the same pressure.
3. Always follow though with the pressure. (If the arm goes down, press
it all the way down.)
4. Try to isolate the arm muscle that you are resisting with – do not
incorporate additional muscles.
5. If the testing is not working – check to see if one of you is
switched– or you may be resisting with too much force. It is not a
battle of force, but a sensitive difference that you are looking for.
6. Have you properly isolated yourselves as to color, odors, clothing,
noise, etc.?
7. Deviation from the prescribed testing procedures can lead you to
wrong answers.
8. Asking questions of the near or distant future will not get useful
answers.
9. Exercise loving kindness towards all those that you are working
with—be patient.
Self Testing
Do the Brain Response
Test by pushing down on the index finger with the middle finger at the
same time you have the thumb of the same hand on the ramus of the jaw.
With your free hand you can then pick up the items to be tested and
place them next to your cheek or on your navel.
The procedure is the same
as above, namely
1. test to see if the item strengthens
2. if not test to see if it weakens (temporarily strengthen by running
the hand down the cheek)
3. if the item neither strengthens nor weakens, then the item is
neutral and is OK for you.
